OPTIQUE Toulouse 2018 / LES MICROCAVITÉS FIBRÉES ET LEURS APPLICATIONS AUX TECHNOLOGIES QUANTIQUES

The Fiber Fabry-Perot (FFP) cavity with laser-machined mirrors is a new type of optical microcavity which combines a rugged, miniaturized, inherently fiber-coupled design with exceptional optical properties.It has a large impact in quantum technologies and cavity electrodynamics and is now being used in applications as diverse as single-photon sources, quantum metrology, and isotopic gas analysis. I will give an introduction to FFP cavities and a brief review of some of their applications.
